1. Together: Treble Winners - Review

3.8/5

Although it took some time to be released after it’s purchase by Netflix, the treble winners documentary delivered on behind the scenes moments and details when the fans needed it. Reminding City fans of the memories that journey provided and how rough the ride was along the way. That whilst we are currently in a title run-in right now, we cannot look back on last season as a smooth ride but we can savor the journey these players took us all on.

With the explosion of popularity in the United States for Premier League football, releasing a documentary on Netflix could not have been timed any better. Brilliant for the growth of the club. Still, it feels like there were missed opportunities to go further into the details. More into the players lives and how they dealt with the relentless demand on winning all three trophies.

Let us know your thoughts on the documentary and your favorite moment.

2. March Results Review

03 Man City 3-1 Man United W
06 Man City 3-1 Copenhagen W
10 Liverpool 1-1 Man City D
16 Man City 2-0 Newcastle W
31 Man City 0-0 Arsenal D

Coming out of both the Liverpool and Arsenal draws it’s easy to feel like they were missed opportunities in the title race. To take points off our rivals and get City on top with it being a three horse race. We’ll only know for sure coming the end of the season if that’s the case. Not losing either was just as important.

Away from those two games, it was a very good month for City progressing in the Champions League with a rotated side and beating Newcastle comfortably. A derby game can always be tough despite how poor United have been this season. Anymore dropped points will feel like the title race is over but the same can be said for Arsenal and Liverpool these remaining seven games. All to play for.

Rico Lewis and why he will make it at Manchester City

Eberechi Eze ticks a lot of boxes for a more creative midfielder at Manchester City, here is why he could be on the list.

Michael Kayode has all the raw ingredients for a Manchester City RB but is he still too raw?

4. Contract Talks Coming?

Rodri contract talks are reportedly under way according to the Daily Star Sport, to extend his contract beyond 2027 and increase his pay towards 300K a week. This season he’s got a strong argument for being the best player in the world and to be a Ballon d’Or winner.

Stefan Ortega getting a contract extension or sale in the summer has been a topic for Manchester City all season. Exceptional performances of late, stepping in for the injured Ederson and he’ll want the chance to be No 1 if he extends.

John Stones at 29 has three years left on his deal that would take him to 2026 and 32 years old. Will Manchester City debate adding an additional year to that deal given Walker, Ederson and Bernardo Silva all run out in that same summer. He signed his five year deal in August 2021.

Kevin De Bruyne has two years left on his deal that will take him to 2025, whether Manchester City want to extend his stay beyond that or not is still up in the air after returning from his big injury. Down to how De Bruyne sees his career finishing, at City or elsewhere.
